Track Video Surveillance

MERMEC Group's track video surveillance solution provides a driver-eye view of the leading and trailing track and infrastructure, minimising any potential disruption to the Train Operator and Network. As matter of fact, video recorded from the surveillance system provide assistance in the investigation of operational incidents as well as in evaluation of infrastructure's condition.

DVR cards (also known as digitizer or video capture cards) along with our software application enable advanced services and functionalities, such us centralized command and control, and events management. Images are captured direct from the CCD sensor, encoded digitally within the camera, and then transmitted to the DVR via an Ethernet link enabling real-time or recording analysis.

Main system's functionalities include: continuous acquisition of track longitudinal images, data storage and index creation using localization information, video archive access and consultation, video format conversion in AVI format for data export.
