Catenary Video Surveillance SystemCatenary Video Surveillance System (CVSS) is a digital surveillance system (DSS) that inspects the railway overhead line. It brings together the computing power of today's central processing chipsets (CPU's), with specialized digitalizing technology.  DVR cards (also known as digitizer or video capture cards) along with MERMEC Group application software enable advanced services and functionalities such as centralized command and control, and events management. Video data are immediately displayed on command and control units as well as recorded on high-performance storage devices allowing both real-time and off-line analysis of the video stream. Basic components of the solution include:
A software application called the OHL Image Analyser is provided. The software application compresses analog video and playback in M-JPEG format as well as special event management (frame grabbing triggered by defects detections) and video synchronization with infrastructure positions. The OHL Image analyzer is seamlessly integrated with MERMEC Group measuring systems and perfectly interoperable with them.
